Froggy loves the library!

When Froggy and Mom and Pollywogilina set out for the library, Froggy brings a wheelbarrow to hold all the books he plans to borrow. There are so many to choose from: Dinosaur books! Books about Space Frog! Froggy is so excited that he forgets to use his indoor voice.

Readers enjoy Froggy’s antics, and so does Miss Otterbottom, the librarian. “Come again soon, Froggy,” she says.

I have been teaching K4 for five years at my current school. I enjoy finding new ways to help my students learn, and love to help them celebrate their successes, big or small, every day. Working in a low income school is both rewarding and challenging. Each day is an adventure, and I encourage my students to try their hardest, be kind and thoughtful towards one another, and support their classmates. I have created a learning environment where my students feel safe and are comfortable asking questions and participating. My third grade teacher was my inspiration to become a teacher, and my hope is to inspire my students to be the best they can be every day.

My class is amazing, and very big this year! I have 10 girls and 15 very active boys that are 4 and 5 years old. They love to read and get very excited when new books are added to the classroom library. Most of my students come from under privileged homes and four of my students speak another language besides English for their primary language.
